Inspired by recycled product designs. Frozen dancers on plinths flanked the Design Indaba stage in white dresses made from paper, plastic & hessian. The ceremony culminated with the announcement of the 2006 winner, Heath Nash, as the dancers flew up to the ceiling in a whirl of lights and confetti.

Decorex industry launch party at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The focal point of the elegant décor industry party was a surreal pantomime of colourful and quirky performers, colour-coded in one of the Decorex colours: bright pink, green or orange, complete with bowler hats, umbrellas and coronations.
An amount of R19 700 was raised for the Starfish Great Hearts Foundation through ticket sales for the event and a further R30000 was raised through the auction.
